Mr. Whisnant was the son of Bruce and Nettie Warlick Whisnant and was born on the ancestral farm of his grandparents where he acquired a strong work ethic.
He loved farming, even the days of growing and picking cotton and the later years of dairy farming. He had happy memories of farm life, always liked being outdoors and was a good gardener. He enjoyed working the earth and planting vegetables. His fall garden is flourishing.
He was a gentle, kind person who always looked after his family and helped others when needed.
He was a lifelong member of the Polkville United Methodist Church.
His woodwork can be found throughout the church. Through the years he made many wooden items for the UMW Christmas Bazaar.
In everything he did, it had to be done right so it would last.
He retired from Phinnix Construction Co. in Gastonia.
Albert was loved and respected by his family and he will always be remembered.
