ELKADER, la. — Services for Henry Benschneider, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church, Elkader. Mr. Benschneider died early Wednesday morning in a McGregor, Ia., hospital after a three-month illness.
Friends may call at the Witt Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Friday when the body will be removed to the church to lie in state. Burial will be at the East Side Cemetery.
Mr. Benschneider was born at Eikport, la., and had lived in Elkader for 50 years. He was a building contractor.
Surviving are his widow, the former Ida Lundt of Eikport, and a son, LeRoy of Colorado Springs, Colo.
