Audrey Fay Rogers, age 80, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at her home. Audrey was born on Feb. 2, 1934 to her parents the late Archie Ray and Cora Lee Newsome Ray. She was the wife of Paul Rogers, a homemaker, and a member of the Ford's Branch Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by two brothers, Acie E. Ray, Adron Fields, three sisters, Emogene Fields, Draxie Archie, Thornia Cole, two grandchildren, Christopher Michael Rogers, Amanda Gaye Rogers. In addition to her husband, Audrey is survived by two sons, Acie Mickel (Gail) Rogers, Tracy Lee (Patti) Rogers, two daughters, Sharon Kay (Larry Dean) Rogers Mollett, Vanessa Gaye (Ralph) Rogers Varney, three sisters, Justine Ray, Shirley Carroll, Lydia Akers, nine grandchildren, Sandy Williams, Dana Tackett, Carrie Osborne, Lois Rogers, Julie Rogers, Mitchell & Cory Mollett, Connor & Logan Varney, seven great-grandchildren, special friend, Mary Justice, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, January 3, 2014 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Jack Thomas Cemetery at Island Creek.
