Shirley Carroll age 76 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Toler Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
Shirley was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on April 16, 1939 the daughter of the late Archie and Cora Newsome Ray.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Carroll in 1982, a son Archie Dale Carroll in 2012 and she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Adrian Fields and Acie Ray and four sisters, Audrey Rogers, Thornia Fields, Draxie Ray and Imogene Ray.
Shirley is survived by her son, John Paul Carroll and his wife, Charlene of Dana, Kentucky and two grandchildren, Samuel Carroll and Evelyn Carroll and one great-grandchild, Brandon Johnson.
She is also survived by two sisters, Justine Ray of Pikeville and Lidia Akers of Michigan.
