Funeral services for Barbara Gail Collins of Winona will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, at Bethlehem Baptist Church near Winona, with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Rev. Rupert Ingram will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time, at the church.
Miss Collins, 67, died at University Medical Center in Jackson on Tuesday, November 29.
She was born in Winona on February 21, 1949, to James Lamar and Bonnie Lavelle Matthews Collins. She was a retired service technician with Bellsouth/AT&T and a
member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She loved her cats and enjoyed traveling, reading, playing the piano, and singing in church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandparents, Joe Marlow Collins, Bessie Blaylock Caddess, Arthur Matthews, and Ada Elma Matthews.
Miss Collins is survived by her sisters, Deborah Miller (Dennis) of Winona and Bonnie Collins of Winona; her brothers, James M. Collins (Linnie) of Winona and Larry Collins (Judy) of Winona; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Collins, Jeremy Collins, Andrew Collins, Matt Collins, Triston Vance, and Drew Foster.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church or to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
