He was born on August 6th 1879 in Yell County where he was married to Minnie Ella Coffey in 1903. Children surviving are one son, Benton Hill; five daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Strait, Mrs. Blanch Johnston, Mrs. Macie Ashley, Mrs. Velma Stevenson, and Mrs. Mary Ellen Glassglow all of Oklahoma City; 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
