October 22, 1942 ~ November 28, 2016 (age 74) Mrs. Lois Jane (Cromer) Burton Bastin, age 74, of Brodhead, KY., passed away Monday, November 28th,2016, at her home. Lois was born on October 22nd, 1942, in Popular Grove, KY., to the late Dewey & Geneva (Mink) Cromer. On May 20th, 1967, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Olan Burton and from that union came Delbert Wayne, Bonnie Jean and Ricky Dale. She had worked for Mt. Vernon Plastic for 10 years, a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ, and she enjoyed watching U.K. Basketball, Shopping at Goodwill and fishing.
Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Delbert Wayne (Jennifer) Burton of Brodhead, KY., Bonnie Jean (J.C.) Harris of Brodhead, KY., and Ricky Dale Cromer of St. George, KS.; grandchildren: Adrienne Beth Cromer, Nick Keathley, Mackenzie Cheyenne Elam, Shelby Harris, Bailey Harris, Jaimey Harris, Hunter Elam, Chase Moore and Maegan Bishop; brothers: Bill (Darlene) Cromer of Brodhead, KY., and Benny (Donna) Cromer of Brodhead, KY.; sister: Betty (Larry) Albright of Brodhead, KY.; as well as many friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her two husbands: Olan Burton (married from May 20th, 1967 until his death on December 31st, 1991) and Truman Bastin (married from February 1996 until his death on January 20th, 2009); and a brother: Bobby Cromer.
Visitation for Mrs. Lois Jane Burton Bastin will be held Wednesday, November 30th, 2016, from 5pm-8pm and Thursday from 10am-12pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, December 1st, 2016, at 12pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery.
