Leslie Arthur Knight, age 89, went to be with his Lord, Monday, November 28, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Glynna Knight parents Edson and Bertha Knight.

He will be remembered by his children L. James (Janet) Knight, Marvin (Barbara) Knight, Lonnie Knight, Karen (Steve) Zwyghuizen; brothers Lyle Knight, Leo Knight, Loren Knight, Lawrence Knight, Leonard Knight; sisters Louella Hamblin, Laverna Albrecht; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Millie Knight; many nieces and nephews.

Les retired from General Motors after 45 years. He was a long-time member and deacon of Maple Hill United Brethren Church. Les loved Tigers baseball, bowling, gardening and yard work. When he was younger he used to build houses with his brother Loren and continued his love of wood by making many projects for family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building) 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Friday, December 2, 2016 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building). Interment will be at Floral View Memorial Gardens.

In honor of Les and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spectrum Hospice.
