Mrs. Dorothy Faye Hall, age 75, of Silver Creek, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Hall was born in Floyd County on October 24, 1941, daughter of the late Virgil Abernathy and the late Pauline Smith Abernathy. She had been an employee of Piggy Wiggly and the Kmart Super Store for many years. However, in her later years, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Silver Creek Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Abernathy, and his wife, Martha.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald Alvin Hall, to whom she was married on May 20, 1960; a daughter, Tammy Law Drumm, and her husband, Ray, Rome; a son, Kenneth Hall, Silver Creek; a sister, Joyce Hall, and her husband, Lonnie, Silver Creek; a brother, Donald Abernathy, and his wife, Dorothy, Cedartown; a grandson, Charles Griffin Law; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at 11am at the Silver Creek Church of God. The Rev. Jerald Eaves and the Rev. Justin Grant will officiate. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel on Tuesday from 5 until 7pm. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence.

Mrs. Hall will lie instate at the church on Wednesday from 10am until time for the service. Pallbearers serving are asked to assemble at Silver Creek Church of God on Wednesday at 10:30am and include: Brian Abernathy, Jerry Smith, Tony Nichols, Tommy Holtzclaw, Doug Bennett, and Bob Jones.
