Mrs. Alice "Coop" Willis Barts, 73 of 2633 Old Mintz Hwy, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
She was born in Sampson County to the late Aaron Willis and Juanita Cooper Willis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, R.C. Barts; a brother, Paul Willis; sister, Doris Faye Horne and a granddaughter, Allison Matthis.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm Monday, November 28, 2016 at Mintz Baptist Church, officiating will be Dr. Robert Hunter. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
She is survived by her children, Angie Tew & husband, Mike, Lynn Matthis & husband, Tom, Aaron Lee Barts, Rommie Barts, Jr. and Jennifer Barts & fiance', James Owens all of Roseboro; sister, Judy Smith & husband, Jimmy of Garland; brother, Steve Willis of Reidsville; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Memorials may be made to Mintz Baptist Church, 2741 Mintz, Road, Roseboro, NC 28382.
