L. W. GILBERT DIES AT HOME IN RARDIN
Rardin, Ill., April 6. — L. W. Gilbert, former supervisor of Morgan township, died today at the family home here. He had been ill about three years.
Mr. Gilbert was about 83 years old. He served two terms as supervisor of the township and for years farmed on a tract of land two miles south of here. He retired several years ago and moved to Rardin.
In early manhood he married Mrs. Ollie Reed of Oakland. She and seven sons survive. They are W. L. Gilbert of Oakland, Claude Gilbert and Forrest Gilbert of Rardin, Samuel Gilbert of Arcola, Arthur Gilbert of Hindsboro, Earl Gilbert of Arizona and Matt Gilbert of New Mexico, Bruce E. Gilbert of Mattoon is a nephew.
