Born March 21, 1931, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late William Arnold Faust and Leola Ivey Faust.
A graduate of Robinson's Business College, he was retired from the City of Spartanburg Fire Department after 36 years of service, was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline (George) Faust; a daughter, Gina Marie Lytle and her husband Alan of Chesnee; a half-brother, Richard Faust of Spartanburg; a step-brother, Billy Burgess of Spartanburg; and a grandson, Adam Lytle.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy George and Margie Gray; and a brother, William Faust.
Visitation was 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
Cryptside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams and the Rev. Ondra Black.
