After a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's, Gayle "Grammy" Montgomery Brent left us on Thursday, October 2, 1014. She was 78 years old.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Edward "Ed" Brent, Children, Lynda Brent Coleman, James " Jimmy" Brent, Susan Marie Brent, and grandchildren, Amber Renee Coleman, James "Jim" Brent, Kathryn Elizabeth "Lizzy" Coleman. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Jean Harris and nephew's, H.D. "Dewey" Harris and wife Joyce Hall Harris, David Harris and wife Beverly Harris, great niece, Madison Harris, great nephew, Candler Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn and Lawson Montgomery and son in law, Harry Coleman.
A memorial service will be held at Zachary United Methodist Church on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 11:00 am. Visitation with the family will start at 10:00 am. Rev. Ricky Willis and Rev. Harold Babin will preside over the service.
