On November 17, 2016, our dad, Joseph Edward "Ed" Brent left us to go be with our mom.

He is survived by his children, Lynda Brent Coleman, James "Jimmy" Brent and Susan Marie Brent, his grandchildren, Amber Renee Coleman, James "Jim" Brent and Kathryn "Lizzy" Coleman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Montgomery Brent and his parents, Joseph Edward Brent Sr and Ida Holdsworth Brent.

A memorial service at Zachary United Methodist Church, Zachary, will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 pm.
