Montrose – Joel Breeman Yancey, age 95, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in Green Meadows Personal Care Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran. Burial will be private in Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilkinson County.
Mr. Yancey, a lifelong resident of Laurens County, was the son of the late Paul and Ruby Cook Yancey and the husband of the late Eloise Renfroe Yancey. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a US Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II.
The family is at 150 Paula Drive, Cochran and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
