Burial place of David Elder, who also has a memorial stone placed in the Elder Cemetery on the east side of Highway 15 (Greensboro Hwy), south of Watkinsville.
Although David Elder's grave site had a marker placed there in honor of his Revolutionary War service, no historical records have been located that he fought in that war. The Daughters of the American Revolution has closed application under his service, unless records are located.

Travel to Elder Mill Road, south of Watkinsville, a road west off of Highway 15 (Greensboro Hwy). Cemetery is located off Elder Mill Road at the end of dirt lane across from Snyder Farm. Cemetery is between Rose Creek and Little Rose Creek.
In 1990 the cemetery was off of a logging road way back in a pasture and in a very wooded area.
