Douglas Boyer 88 died Monday January 1, 2007. Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday January 4, 2007 at the Devereux Baptist Church with burial to follow at Reynolds Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Boyer was a native and resident of Hancock County for 85 years. He was a former employee of J.P. Stevens, American Coach Company and J&M Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents Newton E. and Carrie Boyer and two brothers; John Boyer and Newton Boyer. He was a member of Devereux Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn Boyer of Sharpsburg, two daughters Priscilla Veal of Toccoa, and Cathy Askew of Sharpsburg, one sister, Saleta Lyons of Sparta, one brother Doyle Boyer of Sparta, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
