Newton E. Boyer, Jr. 86 died Sunday December 10, 2006. Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Darien Baptist Church with burial to follow at Linton Cemetery.
Mr. Boyer a native and resident of Hancock County. He worked at J.P. Stevens, was a farmer and retired from Rheem Mfg. with 19 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents Newton E. and Carrie Osborne Boyer and his wife Betty Boyer. He was a member and Deacon of Darien Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter Pamela Boyer of Sparta, two brothers Doyle Boyer of Sparta and Douglas Boyer of Jonesboro, a sister Saleta Lyons of Sparta and 9 nieces and nephews survive.
