Funeral services for Alexander Steidinger, who passed away at the Fairbury Hospital Monday evening at nine o'clock, were held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock from the Christian Apostolic Church. Interment was in the South Christian Apostolic Cemetery. He was aged 85 years, four months and 2 days.
Born on February 18, 1856, at Baden, Germany. Mr. Steidinger was a son of John G. and Anna Mary (Yackley) Steidinger. At the age of ten Mr. Steidinger, with other members of the family came to Fairbury and for many years was a farmer in this vicinity, retiring a few years ago.
On February 18, 1891, he married Sarah Zimmerman at Fairbury. His wife and two brothers preceded him in death.
Surviving are five sons, Ezra, Detroit, Mich., and Elmer, Harvey, Roy and Herbert, all of Fairbury, and a daughter, Mrs. Clara Yoder, Forrest.
