8/20/1981 Clarion News - Lulu Myers Dies - Mrs. Lulu Margaret Myers, 85, of RD 1 Sligo, died Monday morning, August 17, 1981 in the Clarion Hospital following an extended illness. Born September 30, 1895 in Porter, Armstrong County, she was a daughter of the late Sylvania and Lucy Bish McHenry. She was married January 27, 1915, to Lee Myers, who died September 17, 1960. Mrs. Myers was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Meridian. Surviving are six sons, Jay of RD Sligo; Gerald of Georgetown; Dale of Butler; Ashley of East Liverpool, Ohio; Earl of Hubbard, Ohio; and Hillis of Houston, TX; twenty-nine grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. One son, Glenn, one daughter , Veda Fye and four brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, from the Cleo A. Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo, with Rev. Albert J. Renwick, retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Callensburg.
