"KNOX - Mrs. Edna Cynthia Bashline, 74, of Knox RD 1, wife of Howard S. Bashline, died at 9:40 a.m. Thursday in the Clarion Hospital. She was born October 2, 1893, in Porter, Jefferson County, the daughter of J. Sylvanus and Lucy Ellen Bish McHenry. She was married April 16, 1913, two Howard S. Bashline who survives. Mrs. Bashline was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in the WSCS of the church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Brian (Freda) Gilbert of Oil City; a sister, Mrs. Lee (Lulu) Myers of the Butler; and 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. William (Lula) Wetzel, preceded her in death in January of this year and a son, Donald Bashline, died in February, 1966. Removal was made to the William N. Rupert Funeral Home, Knox, where friends will be received after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Rev. Merle Wonderling, pastor of the Seneca Methodist Church will officiate, assisted by Rev. Ronald Williams, pastor of Mt. Zion Methodist church. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery."
