Albert Ray Hazen, 79, of 128 Fifth Ave., Chardon, died early today after a lingering illness in the Geauga Community Hospital.

Born in Munson on Nov. 18, 1880, Mr. Hazen had been a life-time resident of this area. He was the son of the late Albert and Gertrude Pickering Hazen. He was a painter for several years.

Surviving are his wife, Grace (nee Reno), and two daughters, Mrs. Malcolm (Betty) Boorn, Ridge Manor, Fla., and Mrs. Homer (Lucille) Tyler, Mentor.

Mr. Hazen was a member of the Christian Church of Chardon and former member of ther IOOF Chardon lodge. His was one of the pioneer families in Munson.

The second child of Albert and Grace was Lucile Althea Hazen. She married, 4 Oct. 1941, Homer Hine Tyler, FAG No. 102823027.

The third child of Albert and Grace was Albert Charles Hazen, FAG No. 88854551.
