Lois Louise (DeWalt) Lewman, of Manson, WA, was born September 10, 1923, in Caldwell County, MO.

She went peacefully to be with the Lord and became our guardian angel on October 27, 2016, at the age of 93.

She met her husband of 65 years, Floyd Lewman, while attending high school.

Lois played the tuba in the marching band and was Manson's Apple Blossom Queen in 1941, the same year she graduated high school. She married Floyd on September 14, 1941. Their honeymoon was at Cooper Mountain fire lookout.

Together, they raised their two sons: Darrel and David Lewman, both of Manson.

Floyd and Lois were life-long orchardists. Lois's greatest love was being with her family and raising her boys, which included endless weekends at the family cabin at Windy Point. Her special adornment was for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchildren; her face would light up and her eyes would sparkle in their presence.

In what you would call her free time and her love for the great outdoors, she raised a vegetable garden and a beautiful flower garden. Floyd and Lois traveled as much as possible in their RV, from Alaska to Mexico. Lois was a member of the Lake Chelan Boat Club, Methodist Church and Hospital Guild B. Lois is survived by her sons: Darrel (Marianne), David (Joni) Lewman, both of Manson. Lois also has four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter-in-law; and one grandson.

A celebration honoring Lois's life will be held in the awakening of spring, 2017. In liieu of flowers, donations in Lois's name can be made to Manson Senior Meals or Manson Fire Department.
