Jimmy was the elder of the two sons of Daniel Herbert and Clara (Hayden) Campbell. He served as a Sergeant in World War II in the Army Air Force. After the war, he married Marilda Thomas on 29 May 1946 in Washington Co., Arkansas. The couple returned to Dickersonville and had one child. Jimmy took over his family's farm and occasionally played piano at the Methodist Church. Later Jimmy re-married. He was 79 years old when he passed away.
