She was born Sept. 3, 1941, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Carl G. and Carrie "Polly" (Wandless) McFee.
Janet was retired from the Wood County Board of Education with 27 years of service. She was the School Secretary at Vienna School. She was a lifetime member of the PTA. Janet was a faithful member of Lynn Street Church of Christ where she was a member of the Senior Saints. She loved spending time with her family and camping.
Surviving is her son, Duane “Butch” Sutton Jr. of Parkersburg; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Boley of Nantucket, Mass., and Lisa Riddle (Kerry) of Parkersburg; her sister, Freda Liz Daugherty (Earl) of Parkersburg; and sister-in-law, Linda McFee of Reynoldsville, W.Va. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Heather Marks (Jason), Courtney Boley, Alicia Riddle and Mackenzie Riddle; and three great grandchildren, Madison, Cyler and Brennen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duane “Butch” Sutton Sr. in 2014 whom she missed dearly; a brother, Jim McFee; and daughter-in-law, Susan Sutton in 2015.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Evangelists Teddy Tackett and Ron Laughery officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
