She was born to Carl Weinke and Ella (Kurth) Weinke on June 30, 1928. She grew up one of seven children on the family farm homestead in Pilot Rock, Oregon. She graduated from Pilot Rock High School in 1946. After graduation she moved to Milton-Freewater, Oregon and attended Cosmetology school in Walla Walla, Washington. On July 1, 1948 she passed the State of Washington Beauty Culture Examination becoming a licensed Beauty Parlor Operator. She continued to work as a beautician until 2002.

On May 28, 1950, she married her one love, William Eugene Everett (Gene). A son Willam Douglas was born in 1952 another son, Ronald Stephen followed in 1954.

In the spring of 1954 the new family moved to Ellensburg, Washington and made their home. In 1958 a daughter Patricia Ann was born.

As the children grew and entered school she resumed her career as a beautician and continued to work until retirement in 2002.
