Lynnette M. Ruder, 76, of Eureka passed away at 11:46 am on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on April 26, 1940 in rural Roanoke a daughter of Emanuel and Neah Toole Hodel. She married William A. Ruder, Sr. on March 21, 1975 in Eureka. He survives.
Also surviving are their children, Scott (Gena) Thompson of Eureka; Douglas Thompson of Edwardsville, IL; Jeffrey (Suzy) Thompson of Roanoke; William Ruder, Jr. of Waterloo, IA; Phyllis (Dick) Hermann of Fort Myers, FL; Brad (Esteline) Ruder of Washington; Bruce (Teresa) Ruder of Eureka; Bryant (Joanie) Ruder of Eureka; Patty Bonkzowski of Goodfield; Brent Ruder of Hollywood, CA; one brother, Myron (Barb) Hodel of Cornland, IL; one sister, Terry Patkunas of Pinehurst, NC; eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother, two brothers, Kaywin and Lloyd Hodel; two sisters, Phyllis Voorhees and Beverly Armstrong; and one grandchild, Elise Thompson.
Lynnette worked for Farm Credit Services for 28 years.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Washington, IL. She was also a member of the local Sewing Guild.
Lynnette enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and most of all spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Eureka Bible Church. Rev. Aaron Zehr will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of cremains will be in Olio Township Cemetery. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
