Funeral service for Ms. Jean Bailey, age 63 Years, will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, Haynesville, LA, with Bro. Danny Triplet and Bro. Dave Acklin officiating. Interment will follow in Colquitt Cemetery, Haynesville under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Jean was born on March 11, 1953 to Bobby Gene and Joy Maxine Moore Bailey in El Doardo, AR and passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 in Haynesville. She was a member of Three Creek Baptist Church and worked for Piggly Wiggly in Haynesville and Carters Bestway Grocery for many years. She loved garage sales and taking care of others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Jody Childress and Pam Allen of Haynesville, Jerry Wayne Childress and wife, Melandie of Lake Charles, LA; father, Bobby Gene Bailey of Haynesville; sister, Sharon Murray and husband, Wallace of Dallas, GA; brother, Robin Bailey and wife, Linda of Crossett, AR; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joy Maxine Bailey, granddaughter, Kimberley Childress, brothers, Bobby Dean Bailey, Timothy Mark Bailey, John Samuel Bailey, one niece, and one nephew.
Pallbearers will be Max Holder, Mike Bailey, Tony Bailey, James Harris, Kermit Louadier, and Ricky Rea. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Haynesville Fire Department.
