Franklin Winston Cockburn, 74, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Prostate cancer. He was born October 4, 1942 to Charlie Quinten and Beulah Oller Cockburn in Harvey, Arkansas.

He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Louise Maxey and Corine White; brothers, Lenard and Roy Lynn Cockburn.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, son, one brother and an extended family and friends.

After serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a company clerk in Stuttgart, Germany, he returned to Arkansas and started a long career as an insurance broker. He retired in 2008.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, November 10th at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. A private interment will be at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Valley Ranch Nursing Home for their compassionate care during his time there.
