On March 11, 1925, he married Alice Thorson. They were the parents of two sons, Willard and Paul and one daughter, Ramona.
Arnold was preceded in death by a son, Paul.

The organist was Mrs. David Anderson with Mr. Wallace Osterholt as soloist. Pallbearers were Kim Anderson, Douglas Hanson, Reed Hanson, Noel Anderson, Laura Anderson Hanson and Sarah Hanson.
