Mildred Ruth Mabe Weatherly

Born February 18, 1921 in Bartholomew County, Indiana, was the daughter of Cecil and Hazel (Mounts) Mabe and the younger sister of Lawrence Mabe.

Millie was married to Chester D. Weatherly, who preceded her in death in 2011. Millie and Chet were the parents of three children, Ann (Bettag), Susan, and Jon; grandparents of seven; and great grandparents of seven.

A lifelong Christian, Millie served several Indianapolis area congregations, most recently East 91st Street Christian Church. Millie was beloved and admired as a sparkling conversationalist, a skilled cook and seamstress, a charming hostess, a loyal friend, a persistent overcomer of adversity, and a faithful follower of Jesus.

Millie's family is deeply grateful for the personal care and support provided by The Hearth at Tudor Gardens and Harbor Light Hospice. Millie's life will be celebrated in a private memorial service. Donations may be made to Alexander Christian Foundation and International Disaster Emergency Services.
