From this union four children were born: Garland Vance Hailey(Hye Cha) who preceded him in death on January 19, 1991, Grace Helen Hailey Chappel, Gwendolyn D. Hailey and Gavalian J. Hailey(Cynthia) all of Baltimore, Maryland. He also leaves a daughter, Pamela Little of the home; his devoted partner, Fannie Mae Ledbetter of the home; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other family, relatives and friends.
