Rose LaVern McDonald Harward was born August 16, 1894 in Heber City, Utah and was the daughter of the late James McDonald and Sarah Broadhead.

She married Jabez Broadhead Harward on June 9, 1913 in Heber City, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1950.

LaVern passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 1981 at the home of her daughter in Pasco, Washington. Before moving to Washington, she resided at 415 North 1000 West in the Fairpark neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She left to cherish her memory her sons and daughters: Mrs. Arnold (Ida) Haskell of American Fork, Utah; Mrs. Albert (Gladys) Haskell of Payson, Utah; Ralph D. Harward of Spanish Fork, Utah; Mrs. Orren (LaVern) Hale of Pasco, Washington; Max Harward of Bountiful, Uh. 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, November 14, 1981 at 1:00 p.m. in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel located at 260 East South Temple Street in the Downtown district of Salt Lake City. A viewing was held one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
LaVern was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at the Salt Lake City Cemetery in The Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah.
