Mrs Emma Bellman was at North Liberty yesterday attending the funeral of her nephew Henry Holderbaum, who died of stomach cancer leaving a wife & baby.

He was 24 years old.

His mother was the former Katie Ritchie of Bremen.

Young Wife Asks to be Set Free

Complaint to annul her marriage; because, she alleges, she was less than 16 years old when the ceremony was performed, was filed Thursday in the superior court by Mabel Arzula Holderbaum against Henry Holderbaum.

According to tho complaint, the plaintiff was born May 19, 1898 and, was married to Holderbaum June 28, 1913, when she was slightly more than 15 years old. They lived together five days. She asks tho return of her former name, Mabel LaCrone.

Solomon Holderbaum of Wakarusa, 65, died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs David Weaver, following a six months' illness from dropsy.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, a short service at the home at 1 o'clock being followed by a funeral service at the Shaum church, Rev Christian Metzler and Rev Harvey Bower had charge, burial took place in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr Holderbaum, son of Mr and Mrs Adam Holderbaum, was born and raised in Marshall county.

Five years ago his first wife Kate Ritchie Holderbaum, died, and three years later he married Mrs Verna Stahl of Dowagic, who survives him, with the following children; Mrs Weaver, at whose home he died; Mrs Noah Landbaugh and Arthur Holderbaum, both of Wakarusa; Mrs Jesse Large, Shipshewana; Mrs Leonard Kiefer, Nappanee; Walter Holderbaum, South Bend; Mrs Clyde Neterer, Edwardsburg, Harley Holderbaum, Honolulu Islands; Elmer Holderbaum whose whereabouts are unknown; 26 grandchildren; one great-grand child and a brother, John Holderbaum of Arkansas.
