William Floyd Ballard, 86 of Wilmington, NC passed away November 2, 2016. He was born in Brunswick County, NC on July 11, 1930 to the late John Dexter Ballard and Alice Hewett Ballard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ballard was predeceased by his brother J.D. Ballard. Mr. Ballard was a member of Seagate Baptist church and he loved his family and friends very much. Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife Julia Frances Mills Ballard, daughter, Susan Miller and her husband Rodney of Wilmington, NC, son; William F Ballard Jr. and wife Cynthia of Mount Airy, NC, grand-children; Sarah Miller of Wilmington, NC, Andrew Ballard and wife Jodi of Mount Airy, NC, Elizabeth Ballard of Mount Airy, NC, and Daniel Ballard, of Mount Airy, NC. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at Oleander Memorial Gardens and other times at the home of Susan Miller, 105 Cannon Rd., Wilmington. The Graveside Service will be at 11AM, on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the cemetery with Reverend Robert E Lee and Dr. Donald Cashwell officiating.
