E.C EASTERLING DIED SATURDAY NIGHT
Well Known Young Reidsville Man Died Suddenly

Reidsville was shocked last Saturday night to learn that Mr. Elmer C. Easterling had died following an illness of only a day or two. The public had hardly been apprised of his illness, in fact, there were few that knew he was ill. He was about the streets and looking after business matters until three or four days before the announcement of his death.
Young Easterling was about twenty-three years of age, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Easterling, one of the best known families of the county. He was one of the best known young men of the city and was prominently connected with the firm of Easterling and Alexander, the oldest mercantile firm in Reidsville.
The funeral was conducted from the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at four o'clock, the interment taking place in the city cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his parents, and three brothers: W.H. Easterling and W.S. Easterling, and Haden Easterling, and two sisters, Mrs. J.R. Alexander and Mrs. St. Jas. B. Alexander all of Reidsville.
