They apparently changed their name from Bair to Baird.

Lavon Thomson Baird, born September 16, 1906 in Richmond, Utah, died peacefully April 15, 1998.

Daughter of George M. And Eva Shepard Thomson. Married Marion Lester (M.L.) Baird, June 17, 1925, in the Logan LDS Temple.


Survived by son, Steven T. Baird (Delpha), now serving LDS mission in the Philippines; daughter, Jeanne' B. Thorup (Wally); 11 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

An active member of the LDS Church, serving where called since the age of 15, including Young Women, Relief Society, Stake Missionary in Bonneville Stake and as full-time missionary in Nauvoo with her husband, 1975-76. Served as Elementary and High School PTA President in American Fork: worked for many years as a personnel officer in the LDS Hospital.

Funeral service will be held Monday, April 20, 1998, 1 p.m. at the Olympus 3rd Ward, 2660 East 4200 So. Friends may call Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 So. and on Monday, 11:30-12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment: Hollady Memorial Park.
