Dorine Helen Teinert, 90, passed away on February 18, 2014 in Alvin, Texas. She was born on August 11, 1923 in Lee County, Texas to the union of Edwin S. Durrenberger and Clara Rothmann Durrenberger.

Dorine grew up on a farm near Giddings, Texas and married Gustav T. Teinert on January 13, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas. They moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1948 and became members of Zion Lutheran Church, Pasadena. Dorine was a homemaker for many years, then worked for the Pasadena Independent School District and retired in 1981. She had many interests, including church avctivities, travel, ceramics, crocheting afghans and gardening.

Dorine is survived by her brother, Van Durrenberger of Giddings, Texas; sister, Clara Falzone of Albuerque, New Mexico; 2 daughters, Dian Merrick and her husband Ron, Sylvia Wilburn and her husband Jessie; 1 son, Gary Teinert and his wife Lavada; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.

In lieu of usual remembrances, donations in memory of Dorine may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Pasadena. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.grandviewfunerals.com
