Daughter of John Syler, mother unknown on DC, she was born in Eaton, OH, married William R. McCay, lived at RD#2 Polk, died in Franklin Hospital of uremia and chronic glomerulonephritis, per death certificate 84633, whose informant was her husband. Buried Sep 15 1941.


Cemetery records list her as Mrs. Louella McCoy. The DC had McCoy, changed it to McCay. Her son's DC gives her name as Sarah.


Per IN Marriages, on Aug 28 1895 in Adams Co, IN, Luella L. Siler, 19, daughter of John and A. Shaw Siler, married William Campbell, son of Mary Havas.

Mrs. Louella McKay, 64, of Polk RD 2, died in the Franklin hospital, where she'd been since Aug. 28, Saturday morning at 1:10 am. She was born at Eaton, OH, May 16, 1877.


On June 4, 1940, she married William R. McKay, who survives, with children from a former marriage, Furrell Campbell of Polk RD 2, Mrs. Freda Frederick of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Pauline Ketler of Utica, and Mrs. Betty Rummell of Polk, RD 2.


Services will be at Barron chapel at 2:30 pm Monday with Rev. B. K. Swartzwood, pastor of the Maple Dale Free Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.

Per 1930 census, Luella L. was married to Joseph B. Kettler, 53, lived in Venango Township, Butler County, with daughters, Betty J., 5, and V. Pauline, 3.
