Married Elizabeth Constance "Eliza" Bates on 22 August 1833 in Monroe County, Missouri.

Died. Mr. John C. Allred, aged 80 years of age, in Lafayette County, Mo., January 10, 1893. He was one of the oldest settlers of Knox county, having moved from here to Lafayette county many years ago. Mr. Allred was well known here and his daughter Mrs. J. C. Beck, is a resident of this county.
