Reported age at time of death was 71 years, so evidently born about 1832.

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: Mary M. LAMON, widowed female, born in Alabama, died aged 71 years at the city hospital [Columbus, Georgia] of apoplexy; buried 18 JUL 1903 in Section C, Lot 831, by undertaker [Charlton Lafayette] TORBETT, reference local death certificate #505 - Sexton Jesse Alec BEARD.

This grave is probably not identifiably marked. In addition to LAMON individuals, also reported buried in Section C, Lot 831 is Annie L. GEESLIN (1859-1919), who has a marked grave in Dolores Autry's Section K, Lot 183 - see her "Historic Linwood Cemetery" book, Volume 3.

SAR, Contributor #47176449, reports that Mary was the wife of John LAMON. She is apparently Mary Matilda ROGERS who married 09 SEP 1852 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to John LAMON. They appear with children on the 1880 census of Girard, Russell County, Alabama; in 1900, they are found in the household of daughter & son-in-law Ida & Mike BRADY in Ward 5, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia - they had been married 48 years, and Mary had borne 6 children, all still living.
