Curtis Almer Donovan of Conroe Texas passed away October 14, 2016 in Ennis Texas. Born July 25, 1925 to Bert and Myra (Enloe) Donovan, he is preceded by his wife of 59 years, Elaine, as well as 9 brothers and sisters. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Navy in the Pacific campaigns including Saipan and Iwo Jima. Curtis is survived by his sons: Curtis Lynn Donovan and wife Jan, Donald Donovan, and Dudney Donovan; daughter: Rhonda Fox and husband Fred; 13 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren and numerous other friends and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 2:00pm Thursday, October 20, 2016 with the Funeral Service at 2:00pm at Metcalf Funeral Directors. The interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery, Conroe, Texas.
