Lori 'Lea' Davis, 50
Lori "Lea" Davis, 50, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2006, from natural causes at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell. She was born on June 19, 1956, in Kalispell, the daughter of Leonard and Louise (Tenant) Herbold.
Lea received her early schooling at Helena Flats School, then later attended Flathead High School in Kalispell.
On Aug. 14, 1975, Lea gave birth to her first son, Jacob T. Schmalz. She then met Randy Davis in Kalispell and they were married on Aug. 4, 1979. They moved to Sidney, and in May of 1981, she gave birth to her second son, Joshua Dean Davis.
Three years later on Nov. 2, 1985, at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, they were blessed with their first baby girl, Kitch Davis. In 1985 they moved to California, and on Sept. 12, 1986, in Sacramento, Calif., their second baby daughter was born, Nikki Davis.
Lea was a very loving mother and friend. She loved God with her whole heart and tried to share His love with others. She loved to paint and was a wonderful artist. She also loved to cook and was very good at it.
Lea always spent time in her garden and loved being in the sun.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Dean; her sisters, Jennifer and Faith Anne; and her father, Leonard.
Lea is survived by her family of Kalispell - husband, Randy Davis; son, Jacob T. Schmalz, and wife, Corina; daughters, Kitch Wood and husband Jon, and Nikki Davis; three grandsons, Anthony, Triston and Tanner; two granddaughters, Jaycie and Alexa; mother, Louise Herbold; three brothers, Mark and wife Melva, and Chris and wife Dana, both of Kalispell, and John and wife Jody of California; three sisters, Bernie and husband Dan of California, Kathy and husband Rick of Kalispell, and Mary Jessica (Phylis) of Saint Louis.
Memorial services for Lea Davis will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Risen Christ Catholic Church with Father Rudy Bullman as celebrant. Urn burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Rosary for family and friends was held Monday, July 31, at Johnson Mortuary Chapel.
There will be no public visitation.
