Anne Clarke Cowdery, 89, passed on, with her family by her side, on October 7, 2016. She was a kind, gentle and loving soul who touched the lives of those around her. Anne was the founder and president of the Syracuse Chapter of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays for which she received a Rainbow Award. She loved to watch birds and wild animals, to ski, swim, play the piano, garden, travel and enjoy summers at the family camp on Otisco Lake. She was a member of Baldwinsville First Presbyterian Church where she had been a deacon and a member of the choir. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Anne. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ralph Cowdery, her son, David, and his husband, Robert Palladino-Cowdery. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held on October 22, 2016 at 10am in First Presbyterian Church in Baldwinsville, Friends may greet the family following the service. Private burial will be in Amber Cemetery on her beloved lake. Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or to Syracuse Home, Baldwinsville, NY.
