Doris E. (Novotny) Johnson, 93, of New Alexandria, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at home, with her devoted family by her side. She was born July 17, 1923, in Virginia, Minn., a daughter of the late Roy and Eva (Pugh) Novotny. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Prior to retiring, Doris was employed as a nurse by Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen F. Johnson. Doris will be sadly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Loftstrom (Bill), of New Alexandria; and sons, Gary Johnson (Vicky), of Brunswick, Ohio, and Richard Johnson, of Fenton, Mich.; and a grandchild, Michael Cochran, of Steamboat Springs, Colo.
Respecting Doris' wishes, there will be no visitation and services and interment in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, will be private.
