A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Elgin Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dedication of the grave and burial will follow at Elgin Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the church from 2:30 p.m. Saturday until service time. Payne Family Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Follett was born April 30, 1913, in North Powder to Mathias and Matilda (Harrison) Simonis. She went to school at Wolf Creek and later married Moody Coles on July 3, 1930. He died in 1938. She married Lee Follett on Jan. 21, 1956, in Boise and has lived in Elgin for the past 39 years.
Mrs. Follett belonged to the Elgin Stampeders and the Eagles Auxiliary. According to family members, she enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, sewing, dancing and her family.
She is survived by her husband, Lee of Elgin; sons and daughters-in-law, Norvin and Eleanor Coles of Cove, Willard and Ruth Coles of La Pine, and LaRoy and Dana Follett of Pendleton; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ira Lively of Kennewick, Wash.; 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Three sisters and three brothers died before her.
