"Orval "Toby" McKinney, age 92, of Hardyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, KY. He was a retired carpenter and a farmer. He was a deacon and member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a former Mason. He was a World War II US Navy veteran. He was the son of the late Charles McKinney and Lillie Mae Beard McKinney.

He is survived by his wife of almost 75 years, Mayme Agnes Coffey McKinney; two daughters, Melody McKinney Bunch and Steven Hatcher, Horse Cave, KY, Pauline Jones and husband Donald, Shepherdsville, KY; two grandchildren, Johnnie Jones, Michelle Thieneman; one great grandchild, Rebekka Danielle Jones. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandchild Sara Elizabeth Thieneman and several brothers and sisters, Violet Judd, Ruth Myers, Vivian Russell, William T. McKinney, Rosevelt McKinney, Lela England, Helen Christa McKinney, Josie McKinney Mouser, Thelma McKinney.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Thursday, October 13, 2016 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Dooley officiating and music selections by Bro. Earlene Branstetter. Interment will be at Cosby Cemetery, Horse Cave, KY."
