Henry Renth, 73 years old, farmer living in Engelman Township, died at 5:30pm, Saturday at his home. He suffered a paralytic stroke Friday.
He was born in Mascoutah Township, July 28, 1852.
Surviving are his wife, nee Margaret Lang, and the following children: William Renth, at home; Herman Renth, Engelman Township; Mary Renth, at home; one adopted daughter, Emily, wife of Edward Middendorf, also of Engelman Township; four grandchildren and one brother, Adam Renth of Decatur.
The funeral will take place at 2pm, Tuesday, from the home to the Mascoutah City Cemetery, Rev. D. Moritz officiating.
