Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Bazzie L. and Delta Hanna Hyman.
He was first married to the late Theodosia Eaddy.
Surviving are his widow, Florrie Ivey Hyman; a daughter, Mrs. Edaphell Gibbs; three sons, Bobby E. Hyman of FLorence, J. Wayne Hyman of Charleston and Lawrence G. Hyman of Gastonia, N.C.; a stepson, Richard Billups of Hartsville; three sisters, Mrs. G.W. Oakley of Fayetville, N.C., Mrs. W.R. Kennedy of Timmonsville and Mrs. H.L. Carnell of Florence; two brothers, Russell Hyman of Florence and WIllis G. Hyman of Pamplico; a grandchild and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be today in Stoudenmire Funeral Home with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
