BLANCHARD TWP. RESIDENT DIES

Charles Dennis, 81, retired Blanchard township farmer, died at 6:45 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. C. O. Flick, Findlay. Death was due to carcinoma. He had been in failing health for a year and seriously ill for three months.

Mr. Dennis, a son of Samuel and Matilda (Alspach) Dennis, was born Feb. 2, 1865, in Eagle township. He had lived at his present home since he was two years old. On Feb 29, 1888, he was married to Emma Ritter who died on Feb. 26, 1935.

Beside Mrs. Flick, he is survived by two sons, Charles Leo Dennis, Liberty township and Herman L. Dennis, Blanchard township; one brother, Samuel Dennis, Toledo; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; Two sons, one daughter, four brothers and three sisters are deceased.

The body was taken to the Barnhart Memorial where services were held. Rev. LeRoy Cabbage, pastor of the Church of God, Decatur, Michigan, a former pastor of the Front Street church, officiated. Interment in Benton Ridge cemetery.
